Despite many companies seeing their stock plunge during the economic recession, the pharmaceutical industry is one sector that has managed to hold its own, continuing to be on of the most profitable industries in the world.
In this years Fortune 500 listings for example, industry leader Pfizerboosted international sales and announced a $68 billion deal for rival Wyeth.
